R.B. Kitaj lived in England and is associated with the British Pop Art movement. Many of his works are inspired by the political ideas he heard from his parents' stories about the Nazis regime in Germany. He studied at Cooper Union in New York, and the Akademie der Bildenden Knste in Vienna.
