Baker was a well-known Indiana landscape painter, a member of the Richmond Group. He studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, and the Richmond Art Museum presented a retrospective exhibition of his works in 2001.

83. Fred Pye, Cincinnati, 1882-1964, Sailboats docking at harbor, watercolor, 18.5" x 13.5", signed. 200-400

Pye studied at the Academie Julian and Colorossi Academy in Paris. A painting of his was hung in the Luxembourg Museum.

85. Christian Frederik Emil Eckardt, Denmark, 1832-1914, Green landscape with river, oil on canvas, 11.5" x 18.5", initialed. 300-500

Eckardt studied at the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen. This piece dates to c.1890. The water-gilded frame is original to the piece and shows the original plaque.

96. Six-piece Victorian decanter set, three ruby cut to clear decanters and two ruby cut to clear garnish bowls. Two decanters have quatrefoils and Greek key design, one has grape vines with berries and leaves in two rows to body and a third to the stopper. 3"h x 4.5"d bowls match the grape vine decanter. Decanters are each of different height, approximately 15" with stoppers, and different diameters. Ornate silver plate stand has three individually fitted rings to hold decanters, and three smaller rings to hold stoppers, rim decorated with molded grape vines, three grape-leaf feet, acanthus and leaf decorated handle, 16"h. Chip to underside of one decanter rim, shallow interior flake to one bowl rim, one decanter ring cleanly detached from leg. 300-500

101. 19th century Gorham sterling oval bowl, gadrooned sides and reticulated rim with fancy acanthus scrolling, chased decoration to outside, gold wash interior below reticulation. Gorham Lancaster serving spoon with shell-form bowl, blossoms to both sides of handle, back engraved 1920, 9". Lunt nut spoon with Art Nouveau style pierced handle and bowl, 5". Ornate Wallace baby spoon with curled handle in detailed repousse decoration of leaves and berries to both sides, 3.5". Towle Georgian place spoon, decorated front and back, 7". Manchester cream ladle, repousse style floral handle, 4.5". Towle petite ladle, Mary Chilton pattern, 5".
